If a float trip is in your scope, floating the Saltry River may be a consideration while fishing for Red Salmon, Silver Salmon, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Vardon and Artic Char. While in this area the sportsman should be aware of the Kodiak Brown Bear which are abundant in this region. The Sportsman should also be aware of the many photo opportunities that exist for the wild Mountain Goat, Deer, Buffalo, Wild Horses, Bald Eagles and the abundance of waterfowl in the Saltry drainage.
