AMENITIES & SERVICES

Beaver Creek Lodge prides itself in having the very finest professional equipment and knowledge available for the preservation of your catch. Services we offer range from cleaning, smoking, vacuum sealing, freezing, packaging, and shipping your catch. From fish boxes and coolers, and to digital scales and duct-tape, we have it all! Rest assured, whether you choose to check your fish at the airport as baggage, or have it conveniently shipped home to your door via FEDEX, we will do what is needed to have your product arrive in excellent condition. If you feel like exercising you can go the extra mile on our treadmill. Should you desire to cook for yourself, a fully equipped kitchen with appliances, utensils, service ware, cold storage, and seating is available at a nominal daily charge. Cook-in or cook-out, and enjoy our gas grill and picnic facilities under the trees by the side of your very own river. Relax in our Sportsman's Den. Enjoy the ambiance of world class taxidermy, comfortable furnishings, large screen television, DVD, stereo, Alaskan literature, art, photography, and so much more. As your day is done unwind with your favorite drink at our custom bar and enjoy conversation with your fellow travelers. Or simply snuggle up to our stone hearth and enjoy the warmth of a comforting fire. And of course, if your arms are sore from reeling in the "Big One", then you may want to relax in the outdoor Hot Tub. This is Alaska and this is why you came here! Guide packages and fishing charters are available. We specialize in stream and river fishing in and around the Kodiak area. Whether you wish to go it alone or be accompanied by the finest in licensed professionals, we have the contacts and expertise to ensure that your adventure is a success.

Let us help arrange some of your daily activities. We know the outfitters, charter captains and businesses and can help you to decide what will be the best activities and arrangements to suit your needs. We consider the length of your stay, your choice of activities, potential weather conditions and any limitations and abilities that you may have indicated as well as cost, safety and references of your outfitter in order to ensure a successful and rewarding experience. Your satisfaction and enjoyment of an outing is our success. A small booking fee will be added to your bill for any outings that you would like us to help you arrange. However, if you prefer and desire a specific outfitter of which you may be familiar, you are more than welcome to make your own arrangements.

Rental Equipment:

  • Rod's & Reels: We can provide you with quality spinning and bait casting rods & reels that match the fish you will be targeting. All are serviced with new line.
  • Chest Waders / Hip boots: We can also provide you with chest waders or hip boots if you do not have room to pack your own. To insure that we will have your size, it would be a good idea to indicate this in advance if you do plan to rent.

Shipping

  • We will ship your frozen fish Via FEDEX to your home or destination. Your rate will be known prior to shipping in order that you may determine if it is cost effective or if you prefer an alternate method.

  • We are also a "KNOWN SHIPPER" as defined by TSA & Alaska Airlines. Shipments by Alaska Airlines will be shipped via freight rate (product remains frozen to all points) to your airport of destination. These rates are very competitive and may be your choice of shipment. We charge a fee of $20.00 for completing paper work that is certifying & insuring security and safety shipment requirements have been meet by each package under Alaska Airlines regulations for each destination of shipment. That insures your box meets TSA guidelines and shipping requirements. Freight rates are charged and paid direct to Alaska Airlines. You will know the cost in advance to help determine your best mode of shipment and cost effectiveness to meet your personal requirements.

  • As an airline passenger, you can also ship two 50# boxes / pieces of luggage free of charge. Any additional piece of luggage or box will be charge an additional $50.00. If this box or luggage exceeds 75# then the rate will be $75.00 for this additional piece. This information is current as of December 2006 and should serve for planning purposes only. As airline and freight rates as well as TSA regulations frequently change, it is a good idea to get current information prior to making your choice of shipments.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All of our bedrooms are large and comfortably furnished. We attend to the final touches of extra blankets, pillows, and comforter to meet your needs. Available are rooms with queen or twin beds and a private suite with king size bedding. All of our bathrooms are modern and immaculate. Decor throughout the lodge is the log cabin feel of "Authentic Alaskan" all the way down to the Alaskan art on the walls and the majestic exposed Sitka Spruce logs supporting the home.

Guests have a choice for their own breakfast needs. You may either select the kitchen package where you can cook breakfast or any other meal for the day - even BBQ that fresh caught salmon if you desire. If not, then we can prepare one our famous Kodiak sized breakfasts for you. Regardless of which option you choose, freshly ground KONA COFFEE from Hawaii is available for our guests each and every day. Even packed lunches can be arranged for you with advanced notice. We're serious, at Beaver Creek we'll cater to whatever you need. Enjoying your stay is that important to us!

Forget your fishing tackle or not have any? Or, are you now over your baggage allowance with that extra Rod Case Don't worry! We have most rental equipment available to fit all your needs. From spinning gear to bait casting tackle, we are prepared. Even a limited number of hip boots and waders are available if you need them. But it is always best to plan ahead; be sure and punch the GEAR LIST to make sure you are prepared when you arrive.
