We are located 5.5 miles from the airport and 10.5 miles from town. This location puts you in a delightful setting on the edge of wilderness, yet has the convenience of being close to shopping and transportation. For forgotten needs, the only convenience store on the entire road system is just a minute drive from our lodge. As you leave the airport take a left on the Chinak Highway and head south. This paved route will take you past the United States Coast Guard Base on your left in just 1.5 miles. Three miles later you will pass the Kodiak Fairgrounds on your right. Less than a mile farther you will cross the Sargent Creek Bridge and then the Russian River Bridge immediately after. With both bridges behind you, the first paved road to your right is South Russian Creek Road. Veer to your right and drive down about a quarter of a mile. Look for our sign and private drive nestled in the alders and take your final right turn. Your five and a half mile drive has now led you to your discovery of the finest roadside lodge on all of Kodiak. |
